Heavy metal morning

Categories Dikt og slikt

Her er et dikt som er sterkt inspirert av lyrikken til tungmetallgrupper som Manowar, Judas Priest og Dio. Sterke følelser trenger sterke ord!
(In English: Here’s a poem that is heavily influenced by the lyrics of heavy metal groups like Manowar, Judas Priest and Dio. Strong feelings need strong words!)

In the early rainy morning
as he rode his stallion Lightning.
the knight heard without warning.
A calling oh so frightning.

He had no chance to turn around
his stallion kept on running.
It stopped, he fell onto the ground.
And what he saw was stunning.

There she stood, tall and proud.
The wind blowing through her hair.
“Oh, my god!” he said out loud.
He just had to stand and stare.

The queen of hearts, his lady love
from heaven up above.
Finally here
oh so near.
What could there be to fear?

Out of nowhere a dragon came.
Picked her up and flew away.
Full of fear she cried out his name.
Now he had this beast to slay.

He jumped up on his loyal friend.
Rode it as fast as he could.
He found the dragon in the end.
and bravely fought like one should.

The fight was hard, but he fought best.
His sword of steel killed the beast.
The sun went down into the West
Lady love was very pleased.

The queen of hearts, his lady love
from heaven up above.
Finally here
oh so near.
What could there be to fear?

Fire and rain he had gone through.
One thing he had not forseen.
Not until she undressed, he knew
the queen really was a queen.
